A little help
for your FlowWell.
Setup, reminders, notch controls, and a few things to try if something feels off.
Getting started
Open FlowWell from its Chrome toolbar icon. Follow the welcome steps to pick a personality and add a first routine. You can skip setup and make changes later from the planner.
- Choose Friendly, Gamified, or Workout mode.
- Choose a routine category and set a time and repeat days.
- Allow browser notifications if you want Chrome notifications for due reminders.
Plan routines by day
In the planner, choose a day and add a routine. Set its time and the days it repeats. FlowWell supports meditation, movement (called Exercise in Workout mode), hydration, nutrition, supplements, focus, and custom routines. Your daily summary updates as you complete moments.
Reminder settings
Chrome notifications are used for reminder alerts. If they are not appearing, check that FlowWell notifications are allowed in Chrome’s site and system notification settings. Reminder scheduling also uses Chrome alarms.
Reminder timing can be affected by browser and operating-system behavior. Check the planner to see scheduled, due, or completed moments.
Choose a personality
Change the mode in the planner settings. Friendly uses greens and warm neutrals, Gamified uses purple and progress details, and Workout uses dark surfaces with coral accents. The mode also changes some labels and messages.
Use the floating notch
The notch appears on regular web pages and can show the next reminder or focus-session progress. Click it to expand or collapse the details. From an expanded reminder you can finish it, snooze it for 15 minutes, or skip a due reminder. During a focus session you can pause, resume, or finish it.
You can change notch visibility and position in settings, and add domains where it should stay hidden. The notch does not appear on Chrome extension pages.
Troubleshooting
The notch is missing＋
Check that notch visibility is enabled in FlowWell settings, that the current site is not on your hidden domains list, and refresh the page. The notch only appears on regular HTTP and HTTPS web pages.
A reminder did not appear＋
Check that the routine is enabled for the current day and time. Allow Chrome notifications if you expect a system notification. You can also open FlowWell to review your planner and due moments.
The notch is not updating＋
Refresh the web page. If the extension was just updated, reopening the page can reconnect the notch to FlowWell.
How do I reset my data?＋
FlowWell settings include a delete-all-data action. Deletion removes FlowWell planner records stored in the browser.
